The 1970 Minnesota Collegiate Veterans convention will be held this weekend in Winona. The Winona State College Veterans Club will host it.

The Rochester City Council held up the purchase of an American LaFrance fire truck with a 100-foot aerial ladder after two aldermen voted against accepting the $19,000 purchase price.
The play, “The Last of the Ruthvens,” will be presented by the Wykoff High School junior class. The play, a murder mystery, will be presented under the direction of Evangeline Culver.

Dr. Guy Ford, dean of the University of Minnesota graduate school, will give a Mayo Foundation Lecture, “Historical relations of science and medicine.”
Electricity is proving very beneficial to farmers. In particular, the outside lights used to illuminate the ground between the house and the barn.
